Poor, Poor Us

I was going to try to do a Shorter Brooks, but couldn't boil down his latest inanity in any way that would do today's addled column justice. I don't have the time to do a proper fisking, either. Just go read it to peer into the depths of intellectual dishonesty, cognitive dissonance, and self-pity.

I will, however, note my favorite line:

We went into Iraq with what, in retrospect, seems like a childish fantasy.

So many things wrong with just that one sentence...
