Notice the top link. I guess they probably just cut and pasted the hed from the countless previous stories on jobless claims. It does, however, link to the correct story: Weekly U.S. jobless claims plunge
This is objectively good news as we seem to have decisively crossed the magical 400k barrier. However, I'll be interested in tomorrow's unemployment report, especially the numbers on "marginally attached" workers and folks unemployed for more than 26 weeks.
Further, I'll observe that any job increases reported tomorrow are going to be not even close to enough new positions to make up for those lost, not to mention new entrants into the workforce. And I'm still not convinced that this uptick in jobs is sustainable. I hope it is, but I ain't holding my breath.
